Medical malpractice: Anesthesia: Gray v. Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Jefferson County, West Virginia. We represented the family of a 42-year-old man who died after a simple operation to drain a throat abscess. Expert medical analysis revealed numerous mistakes in patient care during the post-operative course that caused the patient to go into respiratory arrest. Case settled for a confidential sum.
Medical malpractice: Breast cancer: We represented the family of a forty-one-year-old mother of four who suffered a delay in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Despite numerous complaints to her gynecologist about breast sensitivity and swelling for more than a year, a biopsy was delayed, and the cancer had spread before it was discovered. The patient ultimately died. We helped the family have the case reviewed by a medical expert, and it settled prior to a suit being filed.
